New York City!
Instead of birthday parties, this year we travelled to NYC to celebrate the girls birthday. We did EVERYTHING (well almost) the city has to offer tourists, and some of our personal favorites from when we lived in the city.
We took a carriage ride through Central Park..something we never did when we lived there but thought the girls would love it...they did.
We had to hit FAO - it took a lot to get the girls out of that place.
We grabbed a quick bite and went to the Top of the Rock and got some great views of the city.
We also had some random lady pick Ainsley up to take a picture with....like she was a prop....very weird.
Later we saw Mary Poppins on Broadway which the girls loved - a really great show.
We ended the day at Serendipity for dinner and dessert. Of course we also had to hit Dylan's.
We began Day 2 at Alice's Tea Cup (a Melissa favorite) and made our way to the Central Park Zoo where we met up with Larry and Karen.
At the Statue of Liberty (obviously) the girls were very impressed.
We ended the day at a place called PopBar (popsicles and no doubt the newest trend to hit a city near you) and made our way uptown to our car.
We had to take the train once. Karl could have done without given the heat but the girls insisted.
