10 weeks and counting....

Melissa's due date is fast approaching and we have had some wonderful visits with Jordi, Lindsey, Derek and Addison and Sara and Faelyn just this past weekend. Here are some pictures from the trips (however, we missed many picture taking opportunities with Jordi and the Achterfeldt's).

Before the posts, or the pics, we have to give a shout out to the Dreier family. They are expecting an addition to their family in August! CONGRATULATIONS!!!


UPDATE ON AINSLEY -

Ainsley is doing very well in her communication. She has many many many signs... too many to count but we think about 50. She is starting to use 2 signs together at times. She also knows about 1/3 of the alphabet, 6 body parts and many animal sounds. Her spoken language is also growing... she is saying daddy (da y) instead of dada and mommy (ma y), and though it takes her longer to process language, she is following one step and some two step commands.

Ainsley loves her tea set and organizing the parts by color. Ainsely also loves her baby... she puts the baby in the swing, puts it to bed and gives it a bottle. However, most of all, Ainsley LOVES balls... even at My Gym, she gravitates towards them. Tonight she would take the ball, throw it forward, run and kick it.

She loved seeing her cousin Faelyn and misses her...

Major milestone... today she never asked for "Signing Time" ... Melissa is still in shock!

UPDATE ON BABY TO BE -

10 weeks and counting. The belly is growing, along with the rest of Melissa! Send positive thoughts about an early delivery date :-)...

As with Ainsley, we are taking guesses on due dates. The estimated due date is April 30th. Post your guess in the comments section and Karl will compile a spreadsheet as he did with Ains. Enter in the your guess for the due date and weight. Remember, Melissa does not appreciate large guesses on weight or late guesses on due dates :-)!!! As a reminder, Ainsley was 8lbs, 5ozs and was born 1 day before her estimated due date of May 30th (Ainsely was born on May 29th, for those not capable of doing the math :-)!

On another note... for those of you who follow Colbert, you would know that his portrait is hanging in the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery. We had to go pay our respects. Colbert can be found on the 2nd level by the "Hall of Presidents" inbetween the Womens and Mens restrooms.
