Spring Break 2019

 While we didn't go anywhere this year we had a visitor come stay with us from Chicago and we did a ton of stuff.

 Moving into the beginning of Spring always puts us in a weird mood here but as you can see we've channeled that into trying some new foods and some new sports.

Brad Meltzer

Early in January we had another opportunity to listen to and visit with Brad Meltzer...the girls still love his 'I Am' books and he is so great.

Here we come High Point, NC!

Earlier in 2018 Karl's mom moved to North Carolina so we took this opportunity to go visit her...and Erik/Sara and family also joined us. We had tons of fun and can't wait to get the cousins together again.

New York City

Apparently a year end trip to NYC has become a tradition. This year we braved the crowds and cold weather and took in some of the sites (U.N and the Apollo Theater) and admired some sites from the outside due to the government shutdown...it seems that we will never see Grant's Tomb. We ended the trip with the Harry Potter play which was nothing short of amazing.

Christmas 2018

Christmas time 2018 was just phenomenal. We were running around busy with year end activities but found time to visit the National Zoo for their Zoo Lights as well as enjoy our xmas eve tradition at Founding Farmers.

Thanksgiving 2018

For Thanksgiving this year we decided to go north to Canada. We had such a great time at the falls and at Niagara-on-the-Lake...such a beautiful place to be and even though it was very cold we enjoyed the time. We also took the opportunity to hit some Buffalo favorites including Fowler's for some delicious sponge candy and the Anchor Bar - the birthplace of the buffalo wing.
