Daddy Day 2009!

Happy Fathers Day to all of the daddy's out there!

We had a great day ... daddy opened his gifts and got to relax all day. His favorite gift were the 1/2 hr of Family Guy coupons mom printed up :-).

Ainsley and Dagny help daddy open his cards.

BBQ out on our balcony... fully equipped with a bbq bubble blower.

Enjoying daddys favorite Lemon Icebox Pie.

Ainsley and Dagny made a BIG mug for daddy.

Ainsley turns 3!

We had a wonderful birthday party with many friends celebrating Ainsley turning 3.

Enjoy the pictures.

Playing in the ball pit.

Singing happy birthday.

Notice the awesome face painting of Optimus Prime on Tenzin's face :-).

Enjoying the party...

Mommy had graduation on Ainsley's birthday, but Daddy and Popeye took her to Red Robbin for some yummy noodles and cheese and ice cream.

Update on the girls...

Dagny's one year appointment and Ainsley's three year appointment took place at the end of May. Here are some of the latest stats...

Ainsley...
*She is now 28 inches and 31lbs
*She was able to read the eye chart at 20/32... which for a 3 year old was GREAT!
*Ainsley has been potty trained for a while now during the day, we'll tackle the night later.
*She has now stopped using the pacifier, which went really smooth.
*Besides getting up last night and crawling into mommy and daddys bed (quite a surprise this morning), for the most part she sleeps great, only she has changed her pre sleep ritual to include rocking with mommy.
*Ainsley is doing great with her CIs and has adapted to her new one very well.
*She is between 2 - 3 years on her ASL skills.
*She is at 3+ years for her spoken language skills, not including articulation.
*Ainsley has definitely reached the threes... send positive thoughts towards daddys way :-)

Dagny...
*She is 21 lbs and 28 inches (maybe... she was rather squirmy during measurements)
*She is signing up a storm... mama, dada, eat, more, milk, sit, all done, etc.
*Spoken words... ball, we believe, was her first word, followed by mama (we think)
*She LOVES dogs! We can't go by a dog with out her wanting to pet it even on the TV.
*Dagny has a little temper on her, to match the soft red in her hair... we'll see :-)
*She is kicking and throwing balls for play.
*She still only has two teeth... we're waiting...
*She got a wagon for her birthday which LOVES.
*She climbs chairs, ladders... way too much for her age!
*Dagny wants to do everything like her big sister.

Sesame Place Park

Just as we did 2 years ago on Memorial Day Weekend (when Ainsley was merely 1... where has time gone!) we headed north to Sesame Place Park... the best park for little ones. We had a great time and Ainsley loved playing with classmates Dov and Akeisha.

Daddy with his girls in front of the Carousel. Ainsley had to have the purple pony.

Lunch with friends.

Daddy and Dagny before going swimming.

What a cutie!

Ainsley's first roller coaster (it was BIG!)... she LOVED it! She wanted to go again and again and again...

Somehow mommy was convinced to go on a spin ride. Ainsley's first. Mommy's last (hopefully).

Daddy with the girls on the carousel, Dagny's first and definitely not last!

Ainsley and Akeisha running around.

On the way home we were invited by friends to join them for Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches and seeing the Liberty Bell. How could we say no :-)!

Mommy Day 2009

Mommy had a great day spending time with the girls and most importantly sleeping in to 8:00!

May 5th 2009... She's One!!!

We can't believe that a whole year has gone by since we welcomed Dagny Lynn into the world. Our little 'toddler' is such a doll and a true joy to be around.

Some updates...

*Once she turned 1 she decided to start walking.
*She has a couple of words in ASL and spoken English.
*She still only has 2 teeth...
*She is starting to stack blocks.
*Dagny loves to follow Ainsley around and use her toys.
*She is banging things together and dropping things in boxes.
*Her little temper comes out when she doesn't get what she wants :-).
*She is still attached to her mommy, especially at night (she and her sister have a competition going on :-)!

Videos of Dagny walking...

We threw Dagny a birthday bash to celebrate her #1 milestone.

Here is a picture of smiling after indulging in cake!

Clown College Here We Come

This last few weeks Ainsley's school has been covering the circus and they performed their circus act for the parents... we think Ainsley has a great shot at a career as a tight rope walker...

Welcome Lenora!

Congratulations to Aunt Sara, Uncle Erik and Cousin Faelyn on the arrival of baby Lenora Georgiana Schnitger.
