Wyoming!

As Dagny turned 2 months we took our 2nd trip this summer to visit friends and family in Wyoming! The girls were wonderful travelers, driving over 1000 miles through WY.

First stop... CODY!

Cody was amazing and Ainsley loved seeing horses, cows, and other live animals on the Keith ranch. Thanks to Marisa and Robert for a wonderful time. Karl even got to go hiking, something he hasn't done in a while.

Enjoy the pics...

Ainsley, Tootsie and Tug... she LOVED the dogs! Daddy really needs to get her one.

Marisa shows Ainsley her horse, Pauncho

Ainsley walks in grass as tall as her.

The four of us with Pauncho.

Next stop... ROCK SPRINGS!

Not as picturesque and relaxing as Cody, but just as wonderful. Ainsley and Faelyn were the best of friends and we were able to spend time with family we hadn't seen in a while. Grandpa Rudy had most of his whole clan there (a bit overwhelming I am sure) and the three brothers got to hang out together, something they haven't done since our wedding.

All 4 generations!

Seaside...

We had a wonderful time in Seaside, Florida! So many firsts for our little girls. Ainsley had a great time with the boys (that is what she calls Hunter and Adam) and Dagny loved the warm balmy weather (definitely her mommys girl :-)...

Firsts for the girls -

*First time in the Gulf of Mexico for both Dagny and Ainsley.
*First time in Florida for both Dagny and Ainsley.
*First time playing in the sand for Ainsley.
*First time on a plane for Dagny.
*First time swimming in a pool for Dagny.

Ainsley turns 2!

On Memorial Day weekend we celebrated Ainsley turning 2! Here are some pictures from her birthday. We will have more updates when we go to her 2 year appointment in July.

Ainsley caught on camera!

Ainsley is a little camera shy but we were able to get video of her one of her first sentences and counting 1 - 5.

Happy Mothers Day!

We want to wish a Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful moms we know... Our mothers day was slightly chaotic with Karl's graduation, a toddler and an infant thrown into the mix, but we did have a great time and Chiqui prepared a great lunch for us all!

Enjoy the pics, some from Mommy's day, some others...

CONGRATS DADDY!!!

Karl finished his course work in December, but officially walked across the stage on Mothers Day.

All 4 of us...

***The day was so crazy these are pretty much the only pics we were able to get. Grandma Nancy did get some pictures of the ceremony and Kurt was able to get some video when not occupying the toddler.

Ainsley Approaches 2!

As Ainsley approaches 2, she is becoming quite the little girl! Here are some updates on what our first little one is up to...

*She now has too many words to count and too many signs to count. We are working on 2 and 3 word sentences in both ASL and spoken English.

*She still LOVES her signing time and has a favorite one - Leah's Farm - which she requests on a regular basis.

*She runs, jumps and is on her way to becoming a star soccer player.

*Ainlsey's favorite color and word is Purple.

*She is definitely a daddy's girl!

*Now that the weather is getting warmer she loves going on walks in the evening to the swing or the market area where she can run around, kick the ball and have ice cream... mmmmm...

*Ainsley loves doing summersaults, jumping and playing on the bed and at gym class.

*She is slightly daunted by the new addition but loves to help change Dagny's diaper and give her kisses.

Enjoy the videos...

Ainsley got a new stroller to walk her baby around just like mom.

Ainsley practices her jumping... mom gets a little excited encouraging her daughter :-).

Welcome Dagny!

A little later then predicted with more drama then her sister, Dagny Lynn Schnitger was born on May 5, 2008 at 9:50 PM weighing 8lbs, 8 ozs and 20 inches in length.

Enjoy the pictures...

All squished up.

THANK YOU BJPCS!

Thank you to my lovely friends at BJPCS, especially Mrs. Williams, Ms. Mabry, Dr. Tobelmann and Ms. Smith for my wonderful baby basket (I know the formality of the aforementioned names will appear to seem quite odd for those not in the school system, it took me quite a while too, but now it is my "norm"). It was filled with wonderful items such as clothes, wipes and NB diapers!!! Some of it pictured below...

My maternity leave has started and even with much coaxing, baby Schnit still refuses to enter the world. Wish us luck over the next couple of days :-)...

Baby Shower for baby Schnit!

Some wonderful friends took me out to a great dinner filled with good food and even better conversation... all to celebrate baby Schnit, hopefully to arrive in the two weeks or less.

Below are pics of us at dinner and some of the terrific gifts!

...and even better news, all of our little ones will be attending The River School next year!!!
