Karl Vacations in ... Wyoming?

In September Karel travelled to Rock Springs, WY with his brothers to visit his grandfather and had just a great time.  We hope he can make it back real soon.

Summer is Done...1st Day of School 2014

For the 2014-2015 school year we returned to The River School for one more year.  We can't wait to see what kind of year the girls have.

It's Summer Break - Let's Head to the Beach

This year we wasted no time in getting to the Mountains of NC and the beach of Anna Marie Island, FL.  We were blessed with having guests in Florida and we had such a great time - we hope we can repeat it again real soon.  We played, ate at our favorite places and we even saw mermaids....

Ainsley Turns 8!

Ainsley is already 8 which makes me feel...well....older.

Melissa Graduates..Again!

So because she wasn't already super smart Melissa decided to pursue a second Master's degree.  this time in Special Education and from Johns Hopkins University.  Although there was little question before she is now officially the smartest person in the family.  Great job Melissa - we are so proud of you!

River School Spring Play 2014

This year both Ainsley and Dagny both participated in the end of year play and they had a blast.  It was such a great show.  We can't wait for next year.

Warrior Dash 2014

Although they were without a member of the team Mike and Karl pushed on and completed the Warrior Dash in Maryland.  Karl said it was even muddier than last year....yuck!

Happy 6th Birthday Dagny!

This year we kept the celebrations to the classroom and to home but Dagny had a great time anyway and we can't believe she is already 6.

Trip to Lake Anna

As we try to do twice every year we went away for the weekend with the Haverts and the Kaplan-Swaminatha's.  This time around we went to Lake Anna in Virginia and had a huge house and had a great time right on the lake.
