Bozeman in late July..a lovely time to go

We ended our trip with a few days in Bozeman to visit Marisa, Robert and Rowan. We can't wait to go back. Everyone had a great time and in the end the girls tried to pack the dogs up to bring home.

The girls take some time at the Bozeman Children's Museum to practice their boating

We took a hike to some falls - girls loved it and so did daddy's back when he carried Ainsley on his shoulders half way up.

The four of us at the falls during our hike

The girls loved the falls

Some time at some hot springs near Bozeman...Melissa wanted to move there

Went for a float one afternoon - Captain Robert took us down river

A shot looking backwards up river

During the float we saw a bald eagle...just amazing in the wild

At the end of the float Dagny was a little spent

Ainsley was done too but all had a fantastic time

Robert had a wonderful time entertaining all of the girls...they now want a pony. THANKS Robert!

Moving our way up to Yellowstone

After Rock Springs we moved ourselves up north through Jackson to Yellowstone...always too short.

Jackson's residents cry for art so they get it...in the form of an arch of elk antlers

The one thing this area has - lots of beautiful scenery

The girls at one of the hot pools

A shot of the Old Faithful Inn - just a beautiful place

Coming around a corner revealed a lonely buffalo

A shot of us in the park... Melissa took this one.

Not this one...

Old Faithful was as faithful as ever...give or take 12 minutes

After the park we took some time to go to a bear and wolf preserve...the bears were out

They came really close

Ainsley and Faelyn take a ride

Dagny and Lenora enjoy the playground

Ainsley and Dagny find a bear they wanted to take home...we didn't

THAT is a buffalo!

Rock Springs...Yep, it's still the same

Late in July we made our way West to Wyoming for some friends and family...far too many pictures to post here but take a look.

The girls practice a little before our photo session.

The Rock Springs crew get together for a little BBQ.

Dagny just LOVED this monkey.

Grandpa was his usual self...crazy. I think this is where Karl gets it.

Posing was a theme this trip - Dagny had other ideas.

Uncle Erik playing catch with the girls...

Welcome back to North Carolina

At the beginning of July we took a short trip to NC - had a great time with some new experiences.

Chiqui and Ainsley enjoy the 4th of July parade

No trip to NC is complete without Grandfather Mountain

The girls loved the Mile High Swinging Bridge

We end the trip to the mountain with a nice hike

We Love Hiking...as long as daddy carries us most of the way...

Ladies loved Linville Caverns...to quote Dagny "too dark"

Happy Fathers Day!

To celebrate Father's Day, Karl wanted dinner at Outback (yummy!) and Dairy Queen for desert (yummy)!

Ainsley helps Daddy open cards and gifts

Then goes over to help Popeye :-).
